My name is Duc Ngo, I am the Spring Creek Farm Program Manager, and I am from Hue, Vietnam. I am currently pursuing a Master’s Degree of Science in Outdoor and Environmental Education at Alaska Pacific University. I am excited to go back to Vietnam this fall to launch a survey for my thesis.
Outdoor education gives kids the opportunity to get outside and learn about the environment around them. Campers build a connection with nature and camp helps to provide the space to learn, grow, and become stewards of the environment around them.
I am excited to work with Trailside and our Valley campers this summer! It is a privilege to live on the land because it offers such an amazing opportunity to teach and learn. One of my favorite memories from last summer was cooking over the campfire. Older campers helped the younger ones to roast marshmallows! it was really awesome. I can’t wait to see what this summer has in store.
