Year-round Programs
Just because it’s getting colder doesn’t mean it’s time to retreat indoors. At Trailside, we are committed to providing quality, safe, and educational programming for Alaskan youth all year long. We aim to keep kids active, exploring, learning, and having fun! With the exception of in-service days, we have camp available any time that school is out, including Winter Break and Spring Break! Additionally, we offer after school care for students at Winterberry Charter School. Monthly and daily signups are available, so check out the link below for more information. Flexible and custom payment plans are available, and discounted rates apply for monthly signups.
Winter Break Camp
Join us for crafts, cross-country skiing, winter animal lessons, snowshoeing, outdoor winter safety lessons, and more! Winter Break Camp will take place at Russian Jack Elementary. We will have transportation available from Eagle River for our Chugiak & Eagle River families. Registration for Winter Break Camp is now open!
- 2024 Winter Camp Dates: December 23, 27, 30 and January 2-3
- Location: Russian Jack Elementary
- Limited transportation to and from camp is available for families in Eagle River and the Mat-Su Valley. Pick-up and drop-off will happen at Eagle River Town Square on the playground side.
- The van driver will arrive onsite at 8:30 and leave for camp at 8:45 am. The van will return between 5:00-5:15 pm.

Spring Break Camp
During Spring Break Camp campers will enjoy nature hikes, uncovering animal tracks, investigating changing seasons, wilderness safety, and so much more! Spring Break Camp will take place at Russian Jack Elementary. We will have transportation available from Eagle River for our Chugiak & Eagle River families. Registration opens on January 8, 2025!
