Alaskans finally have an election system that works for us. With open primaries and ranked choice voting, we can vote for the candidates we want, regardless of party affiliation or fear of wasting our vote. The result? Candidates that listen to our concerns, speak to our values, and truly represent our communities. Ballot Measure 2 would strip us of that freedom and hand control back to the political elites and special interests.
On November 5, vote NO on 2
“Don’t let political party bosses trick us into limiting our own freedom.”
“Open primaries let Alaskans choose values over party.”
Why Vote No on 2?
For over half a century, party bosses controlled whom we voted for. In 2020, Alaskans were fed up, passing election reforms that allowed every voter, regardless of political party, to support whomever they want. If Ballot Measure 2 passes, Alaska goes back to a system where special interests control our elections.
Open Primaries
- Gives voters the freedom to vote for any candidate
- Allows Alaskans to choose values over political parties
Ranked choice voting
- Encourages candidates to focus on uniting voters rather than dividing
- Supports more women and candidates of color running for office
