Just because it’s colder doesn’t mean we slow down! Trailside offers youth programs throughout the school year to keep kids moving, learning, and exploring.

Trailside Discovery Camp offers outdoor programs all year long — not just in summer. From winter and spring break camps to in-service day adventures, our year-round programs are designed to keep kids active, curious, and connected to nature. Whether your child joins us for a single day or a full week, they’ll experience hands-on learning, seasonal play, and time outdoors with our experienced educators.

Winter Break Camp ❄️
Trailside Discovery Camp offers an exciting Winter Break Camp every year, packed with engaging activities like crafts, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, outdoor winter safety lessons, and more! This camp provides a fantastic way for kids to explore the wonders of Alaska in winter while learning and having fun.

Spring Break Camp 🌷
During Spring Break Camp campers will enjoy nature hikes, uncovering animal tracks, investigating changing seasons, wilderness safety, and so much more! Spring Break Camp will take place at Russian Jack Elementary. We will have transportation available from Eagle River for our Chugiak & Eagle River families.

After School at Winterberry 🌲
For students at Winterberry Charter School, we also offer after-school programming. Monthly and daily sign-ups available with flexible payment options and sibling discounts.
