Trailside has a strict cancellation policy. Please only register for sessions you are committed to attending. Avoid over-registerting for multiple sessions, which impacts our planning and other families.
Cancellation: The annual non-refundable registration fee of $70 will be added to your account the first time you register for a session within the year. This registration fee is non-refundable and helps to cover our administration costs and fees.
All cancellations must be made via email: please email Trailside@akcenter.org.
- Canceled prior to April 1st – full session refund
- Canceled between April 1st and 2 weeks prior to the session start date – 50% of the session refunded
- Canceled within 2 weeks of the course start date – no refund
- Canceled due to having COVID or other illness – no refund
- If we cancel camp – full refund, with the option to rollover/donate
Migrant Education Fund and other Scholarship Programs: We pride ourselves on offering a variety of opportunities for campers to utilize scholarships, ensuring every camper has a chance to attend. You may be registering using one of these scholarship opportunities, and we are so excited to have you!
It’s important to note that the Migrant Education Program does not cover camp costs for no-show campers. Responsibility for camp fees falls on those whose campers do not attend. Families cancelling a registration made using the Migrant Education Fund will be responsible for Trailside’s $70 non-refundable registration fee.
Similarly, recipients of Trailside scholarships must adhere to this cancellation policy. Failure to cancel a camper’s attendance within our regular policies means families will cover the costs of reserved program spots. Our aim is to ensure scholarship funds benefit campers who can attend. If you foresee potential obstacles to attending camp, please notify us promptly.
For organizations covering camp registration payments, such as Tiamuna, the Alaska Housing Authority, Frontier Charter School, and OCS, the above policies also apply to cancellations. Please ensure your program coordinator is informed about camp registrations and is aligned with these policies.
