Pre-Care and After-Care: These extended care options are included in tuition. Pre-care runs from 7:30–9:00 AM and after-care runs from 4:00–5:30 PM. You must still sign up for these options during registration to reserve your child’s spot.

Sample Daily Schedule
Camp days follow a consistent structure that balances exploration, play, and downtime. Here’s what a typical day looks like:

7:30–9:00 AM – Pre-care & morning activities

What to Bring to Camp
Campers should come prepared for active, outdoor days — rain or shine! Please label all belongings with your child’s name.

Anchorage: Kincaid Bunker
Kincaid Bunker, 9401 Raspberry Rd, Anchorage, AK 99502
Kincaid is a 1,500-acre park with abundant woods where campers can explore, learn, and adventure. Campers will have access to Kincaid’s sand dunes, beach, lake, fields, and single-track trails – there is so much fun to be had! Our Kincaid location is our biggest location, offering a range of environmental education, high adventure, and hybrid programs. The Kincaid Bunker is used as our home base, but most of our day is spent outdoors! Check out the grid and brochure for program info and age groups.
Anchorage: Ruth Arcand Park
Ruth Arcand Park: 3766 Abbott Rd, Anchorage, AK 99507
Ruth Arcand Park is Anchorage’s hidden gem. The park is located on Abbott Rd between Lake Otis Pkwy and Elmore Rd. This location is perfect for campers to explore nature and embrace their surroundings. As our smallest Anchorage site, campers can expect to join a tight-knit community of campers and instructors! While there is no indoor space at Ruth Arcand, we have a covered pavilion available for use as well as a trailer for all of our supplies. Our Ruth Arcand site offers environmental education, high adventure, and hybrid programs for campers to enjoy. The field and playground allow for fun, free play, and the trails allow for teachable moments and lessons. Check out the grid and brochure for program info and age groups.
Anchorage: Russian Jack
Russian Jack camp is hosted at two locations; Airport Heights Elementary for weeks 1-9 and at the Lidia Selkregg Chalet for weeks 10-12.

Russian Jack Springs Park is a beautiful 300-acre park where campers can experience beautiful panoramic mountain views and explore the trails. Our Russian Jack site has expanded its program options for this summer to include more hybrid and high adventure programs in addition to its environmental education programs. Our Russian Jack location is also the base camp for our Quest Trips, providing a space for campers to practice their backcountry skills before heading out camping.
Eagle River: Birchwood Elementary
Birchwood Elementary
Birchwood Elementary is the perfect location for campers to explore, embrace nature, and have fun! Trailside is very excited to use Birchwood Elementary as our Eagle River location’s home base, although most of our day will be spent outdoors! Campers will head out on the trails and visit the surrounding lakes while enjoying Alaska’s beautiful surroundings. Our Eagle River location has expanded its high adventure and hybrid program options for this summer in addition to its environmental education programs. Campers will be able to use the Chugiak Pool once or twice a week (based on their session selection). Check out the grid and brochure for program info and age groups!
