Welcome to Trailside Discovery Camp!

For over 40 years, Trailside Discovery Camp (TDC) has provided outdoor adventure, environmental education, and hands-on learning experiences for kids ages 5-14. Through immersive nature-based programs, campers explore Alaska’s wild places, develop outdoor skills, and build friendships in a fun, supportive environment.

More than just a camp—it’s a place where kids grow, learn, and thrive!

Seasonal Exploration & Learning

  • Winter break, spring break, and occasional holiday programs.
  • Special workshops & skill-building activities.
2025 Winter Break Camp Information:
  • Location: Russian Jack Elementary 
  • Dates: December 22, 23, 26, 29, 30; January 2.
  • Times: 9am-5pm. Drop-off is between 9am-10am and pick-up is between 3:30pm-5pm.
  • Registration opens October 6, 2025
